Howard Hao Wang holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MPhil in Political Theory from Wuhan University. His research interests include government responsiveness, digital and local governance, public opinion, and computational social science methods such as web scraping, text mining, and AI-based analysis. Prior to his academic career, he served as a civil servant at the Guangzhou Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau and worked as a College-Graduate Village Official in Wuhan.
